Meet Thomas Meldrum

A recent Bachelor of Agriculture graduate from the University of Melbourne, Thomas is our new Operations Assistant.

Growing up, Thomas wanted to become a vet and originally studied agriculture as a pathway to realising his dream. However, he enjoyed agriculture so much – especially the environmental, social and governance (ESG) side – that he decided to see his degree through. Now, he’s two months into his career in ag and loving every minute.

“I’m learning so much – from feedlot operations and processing to sales and exports. I love the variety each day brings,” Thomas said.

“I’ve been blown away by the supportive culture here. The leaders genuinely want you to grow and improve to better yourself, not just for the company’s benefit.

“Part of my role at Harmony is supporting our ESG approach. I’ve always enjoyed complex challenges, and climate change and sustainability are certainly that. It’s so important we make meaningful change and I’m looking forward to getting stuck into this challenge.”
