Best of Beef competition

We always relish the opportunity to put our meat to the test. We were delighted to join O'Connor Beef for San Telmo’s annual ‘Best of Beef’ competition in Melbourne recently.

Held over two weekends, our Black Opal Wagyu went head-to-head with O’Connor Beef’s Angus. Customers experienced different cuts, marbling scores and flavours from two of Victoria’s finest beef producers, with the meat all beautifully prepared by head chef Marcelo Narvaez and his team.

In a testament to the high-quality beef on offer, it was only fitting that the competition was too close to call and deemed a draw. Thank you to San Telmo and O’Connor Beef for another great battle. We look forward to doing it all again next year.
