Investing in genetics

At Harmony, continuing to enhance the genetic potential of the Wagyu breed is fundamental to our business. That’s why we’re investing in growing our own fullblood herd.

We’re excited to share we now have 26 fullblood calves on the ground at Dimboola and counting. Another 26 calves are due this year and by the first half of 2024, we’ll have more than 100.

The progress we’re making with our IVF and embryo programs shows that we can make a genuine contribution to Wagyu genetics. And that’s not only good for the provenance of our meat, but the future of our industry too.
